Rebecca Recco
Rebecca teaches art to Kindergarteners through Fifth Graders at three different schools in Kanawha County, so basically, she works from her car. (There is no getting glitter out of car upholstery!) She is also an Apple Distinguished Educator, Apple Vanguard Coach, PBS Lead Digital Innovator, and member of the Teacher's Guild. When not teaching, she enjoys painting murals, attending cultural events, hosting a weekly community radio show on WTSQ 88.1 (Mondays, 6-8), and SLEEPING.
Dr. Isaac Emrick
Dr. Isaac J. Emrick received his doctorate of Early American and Native American History at West Virginia University in 2015. West Virginia has been his permanent home since 2000. He has taught in primary, secondary and college settings since 2004. He has focused on integrating digital technology (especially GIS) into the classroom to find ways to give voice to indigenous peoples and rekindle stories for students of all ages. He currently teaches Art and Spanish at East Bank Middle School and World History online for Bluefield State College. Though he can edit SQL and XHTML,there are times he'd gladly go back to flint-knapping and a hunting-gathering existence where he could more frequently sit around a campfire and tell stories.
